Our Inaugural Second Saturday is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2025
We will start with food trucks and social time on the Courthouse Lawn at 6 pm. At 7 pm we will welcome Plum Tucker’d Band to the Courthouse steps for an evening of live music while you enjoy food trucks and time with friends.
About the band:
The Plum Tucker’d Band started in 2020, jamming in the attic, at a friends house. There were no gigs to be had due to the COVID lockdowns, so we just started jamming.
Our first gig came about as some of our members were customers at the bar formerly known as “Bahama Bobs”, so that was our first gig. Members of this version were Keith Gilmer, Chuck Johnson, Robbie Cosey, and RJ Johnson. They loved our music and how it was presented. Understand, we weren’t the same band back then, much more blues rock and guitar oriented.
As time passed, and Covid lockdowns ended we changed members again, still a guitar band, but we started becoming more of a dance friendly band learning more of the classics, but also expanding our set list to include more country and top 40 dance tunes.
Move forward to today, and the band continues to morph into a great party band with a strong set list and a lot of energy. We have come out of the dive bars and now play upscale marina’s, restaurants, VFW’s, and upscale nightclubs on occasion.
Current member: Keith Gilmer- guitars/vocals, Chuck Johnson- bass/vocals, Scooter Smith- drums, and Tony Gable- keyboards/guitar/vocals
Past Members: Ronald RJ Johnson, Robbie Cosey, David Tucker, Dewayne Dunlap, Charlie Hall, and Greg McKinney
